Your thoughts are your own.
CogLog is designed to help you privately record and reflect on your thoughts. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your individual check-in entries for advertising or marketing purposes.
Information We Collect
CogLog stores the account information needed to operate the app, such as your login identifier, email address if provided, authentication token, subscription status, app settings, notification permission state, and the check-in entries you choose to submit. CogLog also stores analysis results generated from those entries, such as trend categories and weekly observations.
How We Use Information
We use your information to provide CogLog features: saving your entries, syncing your account across devices, showing stats and trends, generating observations, managing subscriptions, providing support, securing the service, and improving reliability.
AI Processing
When Trends and Observations are available to you, check-in entries may be sent to an AI service provider to classify entries and generate observations. This processing is used only to provide CogLog features.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers that help operate CogLog, such as hosting, database, email, subscription, analytics, and AI processing providers. These providers are expected to use the information only to perform services for CogLog. We may share anonymized or aggregated information, such as overall usage patterns or composite trend percentages, in a form that does not identify individual users.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, CogLog, or others.
Data Retention and Control
We keep your account information and submitted entries for as long as needed to provide the app unless deletion is requested or required by law. You may contact us to request help accessing, correcting, or deleting your account information.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect stored information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so please choose carefully what you submit and use a strong password if you create a password account.
Children
CogLog is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as CogLog changes. When we make material changes, we will update the policy text and effective date.
